Lessons and Treks

With the wealth of experience we offer private, semi private and group lessons for adults and children, whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider looking to improve your technique.

We have a good selection of well-mannered, quality horses and ponies to suit all abilities.

Unfortunately we have to have a weight limit of 14 stones.

Bewerley offers good facilities, which includes a large indoor school, outdoor sand ménage, grass jumping paddock, good hacking and trekking in the area of outstanding beauty.

In the school holidays we do loads of exciting activities for children, where they learn and have fun. From ‘own a pony days' to friendly jumping competitions, gymkhanas, day rides, and half days for smaller children where they groom, tack up, ride, have a snack and a quiz to finish the morning.

For the older kids we are a pony club centre where we do activities such as progressive tests and achievement badges that they work towards in their sessions

Trekking Holidays

Comprising of a 2 day break – B+B with full English breakfast and pack lunch included

Bewerley is hidden away in an area of outstanding beauty in the valley of Nidderdale .

We host trekking holidays from weeks to weekend breaks. Trekking in small groups can be booked by the hour, half day or full day. Rides can cover terrain as diverse as high grouse moor land down to lowland river. We have a wide range of horses from hunter types to traditional dales to sure footed cobs.

Novice riders (must be able to walk and trot) 2 day package.

Day one

• Arrive 9.30am, Meet the staff and horses, have a cup of tea or coffee and discuss riding abilities.

• One and a half hour riding lesson plus stable management.

• One hour break for lunch

• 2pm Return to yard for afternoon trek. Minimum 2 hours.

Day two:

• Arrive back to yard 9am to help groom and tack up etc, leave stables approx 10am for full days trek, packed lunch will be provided, returning 4pm. Untack and put horses to bed and have a well deserved drink and reflect on your two day adventure with your new friends at Bewerley.

• Please call for Summer and Winter prices, a non refundable deposit of £45 per person payable at the time of booking is required. Full payment is required 4 weeks prior to the holiday.
